Tribe takes 2 of 3 from Rangers

GAME 1 - Cleveland Stadium
Smithson vs Nagy
Indians 10, Rangers 1

Cleveland launched a 6 spot in the bottom of the 3rd and never looked back.  Charles Nagy went 6 2/3 and gave up just 1 run on 2 hits.  Texas would not get a hit, nor a run vs Cleveland's pen.  Super Joe Charboneau had a breakout 3-4 day with 4 RBI's and a 2 run shot in the 5th.

GAME 2 - Cleveland Stadium
Darvish vs Grant
Indians 7, Rangers 4

Paul Casanova hit a 2 run shot in the top of the 7th to tie the game up at 4-4.  Ranger starter Yu Darvish tired after 6, so the boys from Arlington Texas were forced to go to the pen early.  Cleveland's Mudcat Grant was a workhorse, throwing 135 pitches and going the distance.  He was given a 3 run lead in the 9th when Julio Franco tripled home Sandy Alomar Jr. with 1 out.  That was followed by and RBI double from Larry Doby and a run scoring groundout by Al Rosen.

GAME 3 - Rangers Ballpark
Score vs Brown
Rangers 4, Indians 3

The Rangers found a way to come out on top of this see saw battle.  Herb Score, who didn't factor into the final decision fanned 9 and walked just 1 for the Tribe in 7 1/3 innings of work.  Kevin Brown couldn't match Score's firepower, but when he too gave up just 3 runs.  With 2 out in the 8th and "Inky" on second with a double, Reuben "High" Sierra doubled him home for the go ahead run.  Neftali Feliz pitched a perfect 9th for his 3rd save to help the Rangers salvage 1 game in the series.
