As is a KOD tradition, the President of the United States (any president will do) gets to throw out the first ball. Since the season opener was in Chicago we tapped the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, to have the honors. Sadly the President showed up in Nationals Park wearing a Nationals pullover and the hated Cross-town rival White Sox cap. He also threw the ball to the far left, which did not shock any of the political pundits in attendance :) !!!
